* Not happy *

August 31st, 2007 at 1:12 pm

My aunt is home from the hospital. She had BRAIN surgery Wednesday and is sent home on Friday. My mom and other aunt thinks it has more to do with the insurance then anything else. It annoys me to no end that people who have never seen nor met you can make medical decisions about [...]

* Surgery went great! *

My aunt’s surgery went great and she’s stable! The doctor said they got all of the tumor, which they sent for testing, but he’s sure it’s cancerous. He said the next step depends on the results and how she does the next few days. One day at a time.

Tomorrow my aunt is having surgery to remove a brain tumor. Prayers and good thoughts welcome.

* Not so good news *

The first doctor was probably wrong according to the surgeon. There’s a 95% chance my aunt’s tumor is cancerous. Right now they think the tumor is pressing on the brain and brain stem and not attached. They are running scans to see if there’s any cancer in the brain just in case. She’s probably having [...]

list your top 5 favorite scary movies, and don’t forget to say why you like each.
1. Halloween: This is a classic. I watch it every Halloween and never tire of it.

* Dad’s home *

August 19th, 2007 at 11:26 am

Dad made it home last night minus one bag! But he made it in one piece, so that’s what matters. He went out to eat and was in bed by 9 on his final night in Las Vegas! Jeez! He said he had to be up by 4 to catch the plane. I [...]

* Keeping positive *

August 17th, 2007 at 12:02 pm

Well, we found out yesterday that my aunt has a brain tumor. The doctor says it’s benign and can be surgically removed. It’s the size of a walnut and is causing some major problems, so they want to remove it ASAP. She goes to see the surgeon Tuesday, so we’ll know more then.
I’m staying positive [...]

One book at a time? Or more than one? If more, are they different types/genres? Or similar?
(We’re talking recreational reading, here—books for work or school don’t really count since they’re not optional.)
One book at a time. I usually get so wrapped up in a book, I tend to finish them in 2 or 3 days. [...]
